Form + Fire grew out of Dinuka’s existing coaching and advisory practice. Aidan joined as co-founder to bring AI, technical infrastructure, and digital creation into the work.
Together we can help someone decide what to do and then help build the means to do it.
Dinuka Gunaratne
Co-founder | Strategy, Coaching & Learning
Dinuka began as a zoologist, studying how songbirds migrate between North and Central America. He has since spent his career on a different kind of migration: how people find their way through career decisions and transitions. Born in Sri Lanka, he studied as an international student and was the first in his family to attend graduate school.
For more than 15 years he has led career education, experiential learning, and teams across Canadian higher education — including founding the Centre for Graduate Professional Development at the University of Toronto. He currently directs career development and experiential learning at a university campus in Vancouver, and contributes nationally through governance with CEWIL Canada and board service with CERIC. Form + Fire is independent of these roles.
At Form + Fire, Dinuka leads coaching and advisory work, along with the plans and systems that turn a good conversation into something that gets done.

Aidan Hagerty
Co-founder | Technology, Analytics & Digital Products
Aidan brings a systems-thinking perspective shaped by his background in Systems & Synthetic Biology. He examines how different parts of a system influence one another, identifying the root causes of problems and where changes can have the greatest impact. He applies this approach to business operations and technology.
His experience spans software development, business analytics, CRM systems, and B2B sales and marketing. He founded Dayleeds, a software platform focused on analyzing data within HubSpot. His technical work includes data integrations, reporting tools, workflow automation, and scientific data analysis.
Aidan studied Systems & Synthetic Biology and Technology Management at the University of California, Davis, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Pittsburg State University. At Form + Fire, he leads technology, AI, automation, and digital product development, helping organizations improve workflows and build tools that address their needs.
